Happy new year!

2024 was a whirlwind. I did my first in-person event, AwesomeCon, here in Washington DC, which wound up being super fun, and launched my own publishing company, Post-Interrobang Publishing.

And, even though the artificial construct of the Gregorian calendar year ended on kinda a low note (indoor soot storm, home interior reminiscent of 19th century industrializing London, i.e., the insides of a chimney, carbon monoxide leak, vomiting, lung infection) for Yours Truly, that’s nothing compared to what I did to this sea squirt in 2023.

At the time, I did it because the media told me it was “healthy” to do this and because I never want to “die.” But I now regret it. The blog pictures are gory and the whole thing seems disrespectful to the sea squirt.

So, be it resolved, in 2025, that no sea creatures will be experimentally harmed in the making of this blog. The only new sea creatures I report on will be experienced live and in the ocean, where they and I belong.

Pic of the author scuba diving, single silouhette with ocean background...how do you spell silouhette?

Hope to see you down there, especially if you are an octopus.

What are your resolutions? How was your year? Tell me everything.
